I started the company in 2014 as a passion project while restoring my Datsun 240Z. What began as a personal build quickly grew into something far more meaningful. Along the way, I met incredible people within the community and shared unforgettable moments over great coffee. It sparked an idea: why not bring together the things I love most: good builds, good coffee, and good people?
My coffee journey began with a desire to reconnect with my roots in Vietnam, home to the world’s second-largest coffee industry and a culture deeply rooted in coffee tradition.
I spent time immersed in Vietnam’s coffee culture, learning directly from growers and sourcing farms that produce some of the country’s finest premium Robusta beans. We chose to work exclusively with 100% Robusta beans to authentically represent Vietnamese coffee and its bold, distinctive character. Every batch we roast is carefully selected to showcase the depth, richness, and flavour that Vietnamese coffee is known for.
At Lonely Driver Coffee, we believe coffee is more than just a drink, it’s an experience that brings people together. Whether through cars, conversation, or a morning cup shared with friends and family, our goal is to create something genuine, memorable, and rooted in culture.
